Hey Meme!
I only been to one confence in my life and I loved it....
At the confences you meet a lot people with alopecia and you realize that you aren't alone..
I have a lot of pen pals from the confence in louisville kentucky..
Im sad that I can't go to the confence in houston texas this year..

Before I went to a conference I only knew two others with Alopecia.
Yep this year is Houston, Texas.

Hi meme! :)
I live in canada , so there isnt sophmore , freshman , junior..... Theres only elementery school, then high school ( 5 years of high school), and im in my 4th year of high school. So theres 1 more to go! :)
I used to wake up early too to fix my hair, do my eyebrows and make up and stuff. But since I got my wig its SO much easier. And no one knows its a wig! :) I dont know what kind of wig it is sorry :S
I also got my eyebrows tattooed so thats alot easier too!
I only have to put a little eyeliner under my eyes , because I dont have eyelashes and it makes my eyes look better. I want to tattoo eyeliner under my eyes so that would be so much easier too, but im way to scared of seeing the needle straight in my eye.

My hair hasnt grown back and i dont think it ever will but i am extremly happy and obviously i would love it too come back but if it didnt it's not the end of the world :) X anyway hope your doin okay x

I wear a lots of diffrent wigs but just serch on "lace front wigs" on google and you will find a lot of good websites who sells nice wigs. good luck girl :) <3

if you're planning to get a wig, I'd definately suggest Amy's Presence.. that's what I have and I love it@

yeah... you can swim in them, but they aren't hot at all.. they're fitted for your head and stuff and you tape it down

Hey there. I'll be sure to let you know how it all goes with the wig. Fitzy was talking about cutting in small hairs around the hairline of the wig so that when you tie it back it looks natural and not just a straight edge. Kinda hard to explain! hope you get what I mean lol. x

You would be suprised as to what this stuff can cover up. If you look at my pics just before I shaved my head the stuff was still working. I probably could have used it for another month but I decided on the Big Shave instead.

Aw thats not too good to hear! aw you should really get a wig it totally changes your life around again! :) its too much stress to try and hide it..
em.. to be honest i have no idea what kinda wig i have! all i know is that its human hair thats it! i got it somewhere local. lol
fake eyelashes there get when you get used to them.. i have all different kinds of eyelashes thin ones, full ones, really long ones! its great, and i had good eyelashes before so its not really noticable to some people.. but yea i wear them everyday!

all you do is to put them on is, cut them to your size, and then apply the glue to the edge and then wait for glue to gummy almost, put them on you eye lid.. make sure there secure then Waaaahlah! full set of eyes again :) Do you pencil your eyebrows?

Pretty cooI stuff eh? Hair in a can!!! I can understand your reluctance to putting anything on your head for fear it will cause things to get worse. But really it wont hurt you. It's just keriten fibers and hairspray.
Let me know how it goes and what you decide.

you should also join the chicagoland group we try to get together often. you, your mom or dad could come and meet other people with Alopecia get info etc or places to go for wigs eyebrows all sorts of stuff. Also I know Karen who is the rep in our area for Freedom wigs you could chat with here and get some insite in them.

I think that it is definitely the best option when you are going to be doing sport and running around. I have been wearing a freedom wig since i was 9 so dont notice the heat anymore. I think that they get a little bit hot but not enough to warrant feeling un secure in a non vacuum wig when playing. I hope that helps.

Oh its no problem. I see thats cool, if youve just started. Yes i do pencil mines in but my mums like a make up artist so she taught me how to do it. So its not that bad :) You will deffo get used to it!
