    Hi Avis,
I know how hard it can be. I have had alopecia for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" It might make you feel better. Check it out on my page -- and let me know how else I can help.

    Hi Avis,

No you are not going crazy. I joined Woman Hairloss Project yesterday and I can't sign back into the account today? But it is all good ;). I kind of have a bias for this site ;).

Thank u for the support. I pray she does not endure this burden. I feel like I carry it for her. She has gone into remission and I just continue to pray for her.

    Hi Avis!
Pleased to meet you! I actually grew up in Prattville (but most of my family is in the Atlanta area now). I am trying to start up a support group here in Birmingham, so if you know of anyone else in the Montgomery or Birmingham area, feel free to pass my name on to them.
Keep being strong and having faith in the Lord. You have a beautiful family too!
:-) I look forward to talking more with you!

Hi Avis, I just left Tuskegee about two weeks ago, wish I knew you then, I'd have loved to meet you. Stay blessed girl and if you need to talk, hit me up!
  • Linda

Hi Avis, no, no relatives in Skegee, I work in the agriculture field and have a kinship with Tuskegee University. I'm PA born and raised, but I love the country and farm land. About my Baldini...I shaved it that way, I have Alopecia Areata, but shaving my head gave me freedom from wigs and things, now I'm free to be me...Bald and Beautiful! Stay blessed and I'll be down that way again, I'll let you know when.

    Hi Avais,
I have been checking into the Lace wigs and you should talk to Shemika, she is a lace wig designer her on AW. She has a community site called: The Lace Wig Connections.net, there are designers on that community site from all over maybe she could direct you to someone that can talk to you about those types of wigs. I'm checking them out, I have seen some excellent work on there, but I'm not sure of what the prices are. :) Let me know if you find out more.

Alot of different stuff, the original stuff we do in our band is sort of 60's 70's rock, but we do covers by everyone; Joe Cocker, Tom petty, Ramones, The who, the cult. I personally like stuff from jazz fusion, to new rock, and i just recently listened to Stravinsky's "The Rite of Spring". How about you?
  • Bernard Stevens

I love the sax! My favorite is David Sanborn, Also Jeff Tysik on trumpet is also one of my fav's. Check out our page at www.myspace.com/silkat6 to get a sample of some of Joe's originals we do, he was a beatlemania member (the real one) and has done some session work. Tell your son to keep it up, we had a horn player at our high school Jeff Parks who went on to play with Maynard Ferguson! Peace
