My grandmother also had a bout with AA when she was younger. She lost all of her hair once when she got very sick. But as soon as she got better, it grew back 100% and she never had a reaccurance. Arizona is beautiful 9 months out of the year! The other three months are unbearable! I just stay inside and crank up the a/c. We might reach 100 degrees by the weekend. But so far it has been really nice. The good thing about our summers is that we have very little humidity. Otherwise it's just really hot. So what's Chicago like? All I know is that it's windy. So do you style wigs?

My dad travels to Chicago now and then for business. Otherwise I don't know anyone else from there. I just ordered a vacuum wig, and I'm so excited about it! I wear a lace wig right now. Lately it has been irritating my scalp a lot, so I wear it as little as possible. I think that what you do is great! I wish you lived closer. I am VERY nervous about styling my new wig. I do have a referal to another lady in my area. I'm sure she's good, but I'm still nervous. It's not like my hair will grow back if she makes a mistake! lol! I guess that, for the money, I want it to be 'perfect'. So do you have any styling tips or advice? I like long hair. I ordered the longest length possible for european hair, 14". That's the shortest I've ever gone. But I also understand that I am getting older, and maybe it's time for a change.

I am planning to bill my insurance. I used to do a little ins. billing for my dad's office, so I am somewhat familiar with the process. I'm sure that I will have to pay a deductable, but I will do my best to get some king of reimurssment. I don't use any glues or tape w/ my wig. They are too much of a hassle. The elastic that comes in them works just fine for me.

I have some papers from NAAFA that tell you how to go about the reimbursement process. I gave them to my client. They are really giving her a hard time. I don't mean to be in your business if you don't mind, how much did the insurance pay? and your co-pay? I know that different insurances and states coverage vary. You said you didn't use any adhesive or tape for your lacefront. Did the back have an adjustable strap?

I don't know yet about the insurance. I haven't even called the adjuster yet. I'll let you know when I do. And don't worry about getting into my business, really, I don't mind. Feel free to ask me anything! And yes, my wig has an adjustable elastic band in the back.
