    Bon Soir Frank,
I'm happy you are here. I would like to correspond with men who have this condition and see how they are dealing with it.
It started 7/07 with one small patch and progressed to AU within a few months. It's much easier now than in the begining.

    Hope you are doing well.

    Hi Francois! Welcome!
  • Roger

    Thanks.

How is Montreal? Do you live outside or in the city?

    Roger.
  • Roger

That sounds nice! I live 25 min outside Stockholm in a apartment.

Yes hockey is nice. I wanna see some hockey someday in Toronto or Montreal. Canada looks great. I specially wanna visit Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

    Roger.
  • Roger

Yes, im planning to go to Canada in the soon future. How is it with the english/french there as a foreigner as me?
  • Brigitte

  • Roger

    Hej(hi) in swedish.

But you are french spoken? Do you often use french in work and with friends?

    Roger.
  • JeffreySF

    Hi Francois,

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like we both had a very fast progression.
I do have some regrowth. I would say about 50% but the hair is white. I usually shave my head every 3 days or so. Tha way I can keep an eye on whats happining up there. I continue to lose what little hair I have on my body.
I feel really good most days with the occasional down moment.

Hope you are having a nice weekend.
    Thanks again for sharing.

    Jeff
  • François

Jeff my hair fell off to about a proportion of 65% & grew back very slowly to about 65% again so i'm missing around 35% on my head & still missing some hair on other parts of my body.

Aha! So you live in Quebec? Nice! Theres where Sundin and Forsberg began their NHL in their younger years I think.

Quebec can also be very cold in the winters, right?

    Roger.
  • Roger

By the way. You have really nice photos! Where is the winter picture taken?
  • Roger

You are for sure a BIG fan of hockey! But you live in Canada ;)

You have also have a cute dog and two wonderful children!

    Roger.
  • Roger

Aha! I have never tried to ride one. Its very popular in the north of Sweden to own/ride it.

Is is popular in northern Canada?
  • François

Snowmobile as it is known today was invented here in Valcourt Qc. by Joseph-Armand Bombardier (Ski-Doo) it is very popular here. i do a lot of riding and i collect and restore antique snowmobile.
Yeah Roger it is really popular here it's a way of life during winter.

  • Erin

    thank you!!
  • Shannon

What wonderful photos, Francois. thank you for adding me as a friend and thank you for your kind compliments. Are these your children with you in the photos? They are beautiful. I must say, you are a very handsome man. Alopecia has never bothered me with men since my father had it since I was born. It was a little more difficult to come to terms with myself, of course, but I am doing very well now and am much more happy now than I was before I had AA. I hope that you are able to get to feeling this way, as well. Also, good luck in finding that woman to whom you'll give your last first kiss!
  • Roger

    Roger.
  • Roger

    Aha. At the Montreal-Trudeau Airport.

So Montreal is closer from your place or maybe Quebec city is closer?

    Rog
  • François

Yes Montréal is definitely closer to my place in fact my house is located in the Montréal area even though it's up in the country.
Québec City is a 3 hour drive from my place.
Montréal is the biggest city in the province, 3 million people.

  • Roger

    Bonjour!

    How are you doing?
  • Mukti

    Bonjour, comme ca va?
I hope you are doing well. I grew up in Montreal and then moved to Michigan once I got married. I've had alopecia since the age of 12. Now some 30 years later I am totally bald! It's been about 3 years and what an adjustment it is ....just when I think I'm in a good place something happens or someone says something that makes me think...did I do something? am I good enough to be in public? should I be hiding? So I've got a thicker skin now and there are more days filled with good than bad.
Here's wishing you all the best with finding a soulmate!

P.S. I never did get up to St. Eustache!
  • Roger

    Salut!

    Hows life in Canada?

    Roger.
  • Eileen Simpson

Just saying hi, my folks were Canadian from Manitoba, I was born in the states. I like your and attitude. Best of luck in finding what it is you seek.

  • Diane
