I recently discovered that my child has it and through the struggles I face she is stronger and bolder then I ever was. I guess you're right. But I'm so fed up with guys right now at this point.Trying to get over a breakup with the father of my son who hurt me so bad. You know, i thought i found the right one who accepted me for me and all of a sudden he made me feel i wasnt good enough for him. It probably because of my condition. I hate to think that way but i think it plays a part in it. Because of this guy, he took the little self esteem i had for myself away and it hurts. I'm trying to rebuild my self esteem but he took so much away that i don't know how to restore it.

Yeah I feel bad about the missing eyebrows and now one eyelash. It feels worse than the hair loss, but I'm adjusting slowly. Putting on false eyelashes in the morning is tedious and tricky. But if I get up early enough, I don't risk running late to work.

Personally I still have issues that stem from Alopecia Universalis but dealing with head on produces someone more head strong

Hi Trina, just popping by to say Hi..Haven't chatted with you in awhile..Sam just had her 7th b-day. She is continuing to do well and got a great report from the doctor this week. The AA is almost gone from her nails and the hair is coming in on her scalp nicely. Doctor is pleased with her progress..How are things by you? How is gymnastics going?

I know what you mean...We have stuff 6/7 days a week on top of school. She is skating 2x a week now. She is preparing for a comp in two weeks and we start swimming in 3 weeks...I am wiped out at the end of the day.

hey! i am so sorry that it took me so long to comment back! school was kicking my butt! congrats on the wedding, thats beautiful! are u in chicago? the beauty supplies sell lace fronts now! they are really cute! they also have alot of support i have not had to use glue with it! i was making my own wigs as well i find these lace fronts to be very convient. i actually like them better than the full lace, lol! they last a nice time and to me they cost the same as going to the shop! I've been getting my lace fronts for about $60! they have a lot of different styles as well as colors!

Hi Trina, What wonderful news you shared with me..I am happy for you..Niyah must be thrilled to be a big sister. Are your wedding plans still as scheduled? Thanks for writing..I have been thinking about you and time just gets by so fast..Samantha is doing very well as you can see from her pic. She has about 80% of her head covered. Still some balder areas in the back and some spots between growth. Still no brows or lashes. I am hoping this summer things will happen for her. Please post when you find out the gender..Sounds like you have alot of exciting things going on right now.Bless you for having a big wedding a month or so after giving birth..

Samantha's hair is really starting to grow and fill in. She has complete front hair line, except for one side which is still filling in. Most of the bigger spots are in the back of her head, but the hair growing is covering it. She has afew small spots in between the growth, but I an see things are filling in..We are going to Fl for 2 weeks in July and she will wear nothing on her head most of the time. I am hoping for a spurt during that time..Keep in touch..

I see you are living your life to the fullest and that is a Blessing. Stay Positive as you always have and congratulations on your pregnancy. It's been a while but everything is going well, the system we have now, we are able to roller set, rod set and even put twist in it.

I know i have been M.I.A. I will try and do better. So what is new? How's the little one? Good I'm sure. Jazz is good. She is one year older and 12 years past my nerve! lol What i wouldnt give to have her be 9 mos old and stay. lol

Jazzmyn's aa is still the same. She got the first set of injections in her scalp about two months ago. She cried like crazy and i felt so bad!!!!!! I haven't seen much imporvement and wonder if it is even worth doing it again. She goes back Monday.... What do you think?

Hi Trina, OMG, you must be so excited to have a boy!!! I am glad to hear your news. I forgot, when is your due date, Oct/Nov? We started swimming a few months ago too..Life gets so busy with just one, just imagine when you throw a baby in the mix. Sam is skating 2 times a week and swimming..Her coach is pushing her to get to the next level. School is out on Wed and we head to Fl on the 30th to kick out busy summer off..Hair on the scalp only is growing. She is really coming along nice..I will post some pics after our trip to Fl. The doctor is going to be quite pleased to see her...Take care of your self..Cindy, Now I need to know the name!!!

I am an Oct baby..It is a great month!!!! Enjoy your summer..I don't want to get my hopes up to high, but I found eyebrows hairs on one eye, just like 2, but the last time she was getting them, they did not stay. I am hoping for better things today..it would be great for sam to go back to school in Sept with it all!!

Hey Trina! How are you feeling? I need a pep message (LOL)...Samantha is looking really good, but I am starting to flip a bit b/c she has two small, finger nail size spots on the top side part of her head and I am paranoid they are getting bigger, but I don't see hair on the pillow or her clothes. I am sure it is just that her hair is growing in now that the spots she has are more apparent. She has about 90% of her hair back on the scalp. We are in fl now and I think the sun is doing wonders for her hair...Put my check please..(hehee) cindy

Hi Trina, CONGRATS!! Thank you for posting to me..I had been thinking about you. It is so nice to hear that things are going well for you all..Are you taking a honeymoon anywhere? Sam is doing very well. Her hair is growing and has very few small spots left, less then a dime size. I can officially tell you that she has visible eyebrows growing in now. She has a thin line on the right eye and the left eye is coming in sparse. (that was the first brow to go). We are still on treatment and she is 5 months w/o a wig now. Please let me know who the wedding goes and post some pics of your new family! Cindy

I'm new to the site and came across your profile. I know it's difficult for you to see your child deal with that but what a blessing that you can be a source of strength for her. This has been my biggest fear with my children and now i feel like there are a lot worse things that can happen and I hope I would be better equipped to help them deal with it than my parents were. Hi Trina, What a nice surprise to hear from you. I am glad things are going well for you. 1 already!! Where are the pics? Are you on FB yet? Samantha is still doing well. Her hair is shoulder length now and she has partial brows, no lashes. We actually were able to put a bun in her hair for skating this weekend. Is Niyah still doing gymnastics. Sam is still skating.
