East coast (NY) guy living in LA since 2016. Divorced but blessed with 2 beautiful teenage girls.
I've had Alopecia in some form since I was 8 - started with a spot, then a patch, then went everything else. My kids haven't shown any signs of AA at this point. Can't say that part of the equation doesn't scare the heck out of me, but then I remind myself - again - that it's just hair, and they'll be just fine like I was.
Looking forward to connecting and making some new friends...
Hi John,
I would love to hear about the NJ group. My son who is 10 has AA and would love to meet other boys with alopecia. We live in Oak Ridge, in Morris County.

I'm writing to you because I will be having a program at my school "What is Beautiful" and we'll be discussing the many lengths that women/ men have gone to achieve what is beautiful according to society. We will show quick clips and then have a panel consisting of Rutgers students and people with alopecia. (I'm still not too sure if I will be on the panel...im still kinda shy about it) Would be interested in participating or know of anyone that is around the NJ area that would like to participate?
Date: April 21st @9:15pm
Location: Rutgers University, New Brunwsick, NJ 08901
Student Activities Center
Please let me know as soon as you can:)
Thanks
