Sorry it took so long to reply. I have tried several treatments including the injections, Olux, and two different acne meds to agitate the hair enough to make it grow...I know... sounds strange. I took four months, but where the injections were done is growing back. The Dr. wants to do all of my hairless areas. I'm not so sure... no one can see my spots and those shots were awful.

Thanks for asking. Mine is doing the same thing. I even cancelled my dermatology appt today, because nothing is changing. I'll just keep riding this roller coaster.

Hey Liliana. You're story sounds a bit like mine. I was diagnosed with AA in august of 2008. i lost a big patch in the the back and one on either side of my head. since my hair was very thick to begin with, i could hide it by wearing a ponytail. After a year, this summer, it had all grown back. I was so overjoyed... I was able to wear my hair down again for one whole month. And then my scalp started itching, got sore, turned pink... and sure enough, another spot... in the same place the very first one formed. And then another on the left. And another on the right. My hair is in a ponytail again. But also, the thinning since last year is significant. I've lost so much thickness. And today my eyebrows started itching. I've stopped the shots. They didn't seem to help. I take vitamins and rub emu oil on my spots. This time it doesn't seem to be working. It's scary not knowing what direction it will go. The hairs on the bathroom floor are starting to make me a little crazy. And the itching sore head, arg.... Anyway, please keep me posted on your journey and I will do the same. God bless.
