- I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata when I was 18... I have done steroid injections and weekly course of DCP for 6 months (stopped 3yrs ago as it all grew back). It is starting to fall out again so I am back on the horrible painful treatment of DCP; hoping it will work again. I am a cancer nurse working at a large hospital in perth. I have an incredible boyfriend who I have been with since high school and amazing friends and family
