Hello Susan,
I am so glad to hear from you. I will be praying for you and your daughters peace during this journey. Know that God is bigger than any challenges we face.
My mom and dad converted to a plant based diet and no gluten about 1 1/2 years ago due to my mom having leaky gut, causing autoimmune disease that attacks her thyroid. At the time I was trying to eat that way but slipped a lot. When I found my first bald spot in June of 2013, my parents took me to her health & wellness doctor to get his recommendation. That's when I also converted to 100% plant based, gluten free eating and have noticed a huge improvement in my health!
I am using no other treatments, and my parents and I have decided to get my body as healthy as possible and let it determine the fate of my hair. I have heard from a lot of people that the medical treatments have not helped and can even cause more stress which causes more loss. We will continue to watch for natural options while I embrace Gods journey for my life!
Please tell your daughter hello and I hope that we will be able to meet soon.
