- Before I had alopecia, I was very inactive with socializing with others and very bashful. I had eczema, and the other kids often picked on me about it, and I was a overweight and tall kid. I started having alopecia areata when I was 10, and was initially misdiagnosed for it being a fungus, and I thought Vanderbilt was the best, haha. As the years went on, it had gotten worse and I was on heavy corticosteriods since then. I believe that's why I have so many stretch marks.
