About Me
My name is Amanda Flanagan. I am 22 and I've had alopecia for 3 years. I am completely bald. I don't have any eyebrows, hardly any eyelashes and these days I'm finding it almost unnecessary to shave my legs. I tried the wig thing for awhile and it was fun at first but wigs are nothing like a real live healthy head of hair. When I was pregnant with my daughter I converted to a scarf. Since then I've had an evolution of scarf tying and I will say with confidence that I have mastered the art of it. So, unless my hair decides to grow back one day, the scarf is staying! My boyfriend is nothing but kind and supportive. He loves my bald head, and (although he says it's selfish)doesn't want it to grow back. We have two beautiful girls (6 and 2). Being a mom has taught me so much about myself and even more about my alopecia! I'm pretty much convinced my hair will never grow back which is okay because I've become comfortable with the bald me.

I love the way you tied your scarf.  How did you do it?  I rarely wear my wigs anymore and looking for new ways to wear my scarfs at work.
