- Hi! I've had Alopecia since I was 4 years old. My hair grew back when I was about 9 years old but then I lost it again when I was 11. It's never fully come back since then and I'm now 21. There's been a few times over the years where I've lost an eyebrow, eyelashes, etc but they come back in after a few months.
I guess I'm just looking to talk to others who have gone through similar or the same as I have.. I've never met anyone else with Alopecia except when I was a little girl. I remember being in a store and this woman in a hat stopped me -- I must of been about 6 or 7. She asked if I had Alopecia and I told her yes, which I remember feeling embarrassed about. I had been teased a lot so I was very sensitive, haha. She then smiled and lifted her hat to show her head, proudly saying "So do I!"
I just think it'd be fun to (hopefully!) make some friends around here. :)
