- I am a 36 year old female who has Nervous Alopecia. The hair on the top of my head had been thinning for years and finally i decided that i wanted to shave my head. its a bold thing that seems like something i would do anyway and i was more self-conscious of the thinning than i am of being bald. i do not shave right to my scalp, i use clippers and use a #1 to shave it very short. i love it and feel free and confident. Many people think its wierd, but i love it and will never grow my hair back again!
