I am a woman that is bald, not particularly by choice, I wish I had a head full of long curly beautiful hair. But that is not my story. I did have long hair at one time in my life, when I let it loc, but by them it was thinning on the top and on the sides. Wigs on a everyday basis are not for me, plus I'm having hot flashes now and them. I asked my daughter to shave my head and it felt good. I still wear a wig to work but so far go wigless in my real life. It has not been free of inner conflict for me, but with the support of my daughters, grandchildren and true friends, and most importantly strength from God, I am enjoying (even beginning to love) the freedom of being my true self-bald.
