- I was 19 when I noticed my 1st bald spot. I knew it was alopecia the moment I felt the spot. (I am not the first in my family to have alopecia, but I am the only one who does not cover my head). Within a year and a half of my 1st spot I had no hair left. It took me a few years to get comfortable with myself being bald, but now...I consider myself an advocate for alopecia. I found freedom in being bald...and fitness:)
I want to be part of the alopecia community and advocate for the confidence and beauty found in not having hair...Self love:)
