Hi! After going totally bald during chemo, my hair started to grow back bit by bit.
Once it started growing back, I began to have symptoms which were biopsied and diagnosed lichen planipalus (just callme ol mossy head!)
It is a bit of a challenge - - I'm in between jobs, the excessive heat this summer has made it less responsive to meds (topical and antibiotics) and photos make me look rather clownish.
I wish there were something I could clip into my hair instead of puttiong on a whole wig - - they are so hot I gave up on them during chemotherapy. Now that I'm cancer free and healthy - I'd like to enjoy life. Hard to do when people look askaance at my forhead.
This week it went into my eyelashes. I appeared diseased. A bit distressing.
Other than all that - I enjoy my pets, creative work, volunteering during the employment gap and helping nonprofits write grants and do fundraising.
Plus, tending garden, canning fruit, and other homemakerly type arts.
Would love to hear suggestions.
Thanks.
