- I have become interested in "the bald look" for women. Over the past several years I have become increasingly sensitive to the heat. I live in Florida and have hot flashes that are triggered when the temperature goes above 76 or 77. Instead of thinning hair, my hair seems to be getting thicker (and hotter!)..also grayer (which I don't like either). I talked my husband into shaving his head several months ago--he looks great and 10 years younger. I want to shave mine, too. As I started to talk with family and friends about this--and do research on it--I've become fascinated with our relationship with our hair. People seem to have such passionate opinions on the subject of Bald Women! I found your site and saw an article about your National Bald Out Day. Great work! Look forward to learning more about your organization.
