Oh, that is so sad about the puppy and her school experience!
Animals are so important to us, loving us unconditionally especially when we run into others that don't.
You might want to check out the help available at the Naitonal Alopecia Areata Foundation, www.naaf.org. They have a free "School Pack" that inlcudes materials that will help with situations like this, including a video that the school can play for the students which explains alopecia. When kids understand, they are usually more sensitive.
