Originally from New Zealand, currently living it up in Hong Kong :)
My alopecia first developed when I was about 5 years old. Shocked, fustrated and confused, my parents didn't know what to do with me. They took me to serveral doctors and specialists but all had the same devastating answer of "there is no cure." Living with this condition was definately mentally challenging, having to ignore the teasing throughout primary school. In the year 2007, my life took a positive turn as we had discovered Freedom Wigs NZ. The New Zealand company made wigs like no other, letting you live a normal life without limits.
Having Alopecia Universalis for almost 15 years now has really defined who I am. I have now come to terms with this condition and am trying to live a normal life! Who cares what anybody else thinks? (Though the wigs help a lot hehe)
