Hi Dean,
Good to hear things are good with you.
I haven't had any changes with my nails but I know some people who have. I started taking the Biotin as it is supposed to be good for the skin, hair and nails as well as carbohydrate metabolism. my nails have always been strong but now they are stronger than ever and grow faster then they did previously.
My Dr's also told me to take the Vitamin D and use the topical 5% Minoxidil.
I don't know if any of these things have made a change or not but I suppose it doesn't hurt.
That said, I have been getting the steroid injections every month for the past 4-5 months and the hair is still coming in just slowly.
Are you doing anything for your alopecia or nails?
Jeffrey
Hi Dean,
I'm not sure what caused my alopecia to start with nor it's current state.
I was 43 when it started. I had never had any signs of this disease before.
My longterm treatment has been Vitamin D, Biotin and minoxidil. For the past 4 months I have been getting the steroid shots injected into the remaining spots on my scalp. Down to five at this point.
How is everything going with you?
Jeffrey

Sounds like you are doing okay with "The Change"
I'm at AA right now with 6 spots or so. I was AU for about 2 years.

How long with the alopecia? Just over 4 years with me.
