im 27 and just woke up on friday and found two giant bald patchs on my head. and went to the dr. and she told me because of my stress i now have alopecia.

It's not always genetic, and no one knows what causes it. Stress is just a trigger, as can be hormones, illness, a few other things.
As far as how much it will fall out, that's something no one knows. It's so unpredictable. It might go away, never to return again, or you might have it forever. Or it could come and go.
