Hey, I have had Alopecia for 10 years now, in the last 3 years i have had AT. I was always looking for a breakthrough and a healing. I prayed Lord why me. And i finally Got my breaktrough , I am able to walk around with out a hat, wig, scarf and be free. I never would have thought 10 years ago I would show the world this is me. I still believe God for my healing BUT i am so grateful for this breakthrough that I never saw coming. God Bless you and yours will come to weather it be a boldness or an acceptance, or unexplainable healing. Look for it.
Hello and welcome, Dionne!
I know how hard alopecia can be; I have had it for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" You can find out more on my page -- and it's available on this site under "Bookshelf." Let me know if there's anything else I can do!

Hi Dionne! Welcome! You are from my hometown of Sugarland! I will be visiting home and attending the conference the end of this month and can't wait to see my family and friends. This site is a great place to get to know others like us and also a great support system. Looking fwd to getting to know you better. Take care, Holly
Hi glad to "meet" you too! I understand ther self esteem issue. When I stated losing my hair about 8 months ago it started as a bald spot and I thought I would just grow bakk then my hair started shedding really bad and next thing I knew I was completely bald.My hair was once my most prized pocession but I quickly learned how things can be taken away from you so fast.I cried everyday and thought of myself as ugly and I thought that people would hate me but I learned that its who you are and not what you dont have. Now by the grace of God and through my families prayers I am seeing my hair grow bakk day by day.So cheer up.Your friends and family love you and thats all that matters!
