Thanks for the note. We didn't even know what alopecia was until last week. As you can imagine, it has been an unexpected shock to our systems. We go see a specialist on Monday. Stephanie (13) has lost most of the hair on the back and left side of her head. The right side seems to be staying intact, and her hairline is just thinning a bit. She seems to still be losing hair, though. So far she can cover it with an extra wide cloth headband over the back and hairline.
It seems your family has a lot of love and support for one another. Your girls are blessed to have a strong mom that lives with it and can help them adjust. Good luck to you and thanks again for reaching out.
haha i go to the otara markets sometimes! awww tell your daughter to use the cancer thing to her advantage i do all the time it gets me free stuff haha nah i know its not funny and it does get annoying telling people you dont have cancer. it must be hard for you having alopecia and then your daughter does too because you know how much it hurts but its not really the worst thing ever well i have found that it isnt when my dad died out of the blue 11 months ago so ive learnt that having no dad is way worst then having no hair.anyway do you's do any treatments?
