my alopecia started very suddenly and for the first time aged 50. Up until now I have been lucky to enjoy very thick and healthy hair. I just wanted to share what I have learnt so far and hope that it will offer another newbie a little comfort:

- it can be quite shocking the amount of hair that is lost. I paddle in the shower but still have hair left
