- I've been suffering in silence with my diagnosis since 1996. I hoped it was a nightmare that I would awake from with my hair intact but that wasn't the case. Recently a friend of mine pulled me to the carpet and pointed out how I have lost myself because I had lost my hair. I'm still on the fence about shaving my head, but seriously want the freedom. I want to find myself again!!
