- Hi, i was diagnosed with Alopecia areata when i was in 6th grade, it was very hard for me becuase i was scared ans confused and diddnt know what was going on. plus, i was in my first year of middle school so it was very hard with kids making fun of me. me and my mother went to many doctors and finially found one. we tried alot of differnt treatment before we found the one that worked for me. we tired creams, pills tauth and finially shots in my head. the shots didn't hurt very much but we found that they were very effective in stopping the effects of alopecia. i had it again in 7th grade and it didn't come back in 8th grade thank godness. But a few months ago i found another spot on the side of my head, we cought it early so we went to the dcotors and got some more shots. they are already helping and the hair is already growing back. oh yeah after the occurances it all grew back and now i have a full beautiful head of hair. that looks completely normal.
