Hi there, I am finding this site a little tedious to navigate so I apologize for not getting back with you sooner. Guess I'm spoiled by Facebook. Anyway, you asked about my Follea gripper. It is a gripper cool and the shade is "6020" one of the blondest blondes they offer. Yes, I did have to shave off what hair I had left to make sure it adhered correctly. It is very secure on my head and it is my absolute favorite wig. I have a whole wardrobe of them! I did get fitted for a vacuum wig last month so I'll be posting about that when it gets here. I am totally bald on top, no hair grows there at all. Every few days I shave the thin wispy hairs on the perimeter. When I'm not wearing hair I think I look better totally bald than half bald, but that's just me. I think it's a personal decision to shave or not to shave. Good luck to you. The transition from bonding toppers to my head and wearing for weeks at a time to going totally bald and wearing wigs part time was a scary one but it's been great for me.
Thanks for the compliments on my wigs! There are a combination of wigs -- some are virgin European hair that I purchased from Brenda Kay Hair Specialties -- about $3K. (If you want contact info, let me know -- she works with women all over the country.)
I also love Brandi by Rene of Paris (synthetic). Love it because it's wash and wear!
