48yr old female from the Kansas City area. I thought I would join this group to maybe get some shoving and pushing to get me back into the dating world again since my divorce in 2016. I have Alopecia Areata and only feel comfortable in social settings when I wear my wig, but I also feel uncomfortable in social settings in my wig... What a conundrum!!!
We are beautiful people. Nothing to be kind about. Although i do understand the insecurities of going out with baldness showing. It sucks to feel that everyone is staring. First.words out.of most new peoples mouths are "what happened to your eyebrows?" I let it bother me for years but now I just ignore people. You're pretty. I'm handsome. Our hair issues don't change that.
