Hello and welcome, Jen!
I know how hard alopecia can be; I have universalis too, and have had it for about 30 years. After I became the spokesperson for the National Alopecia Areata Foundation, a lot of women were needing my help and support, so I wrote a book called, "If Your Hair Falls Out, Keep Dancing!" (It just won two national awards!) You can find out more on my page -- and it's available on Amazon.com, and on this site under "Bookshelf." Let me know if there's anything else I can do!

Thank you. Katya has had AA then AU for about 2 years. This site helped me a lot. Just to see how people have delt with AU has helped me help my daughter. She is doing great and for the most part it does not affect her in a negative way. We live in Orange, which is not far from you.
