- My name is Josh. I'm 21 years old. I was diagnosed with alopecia areata when I was 11 years old. As time when on, all the hair on my head fell out. I was diagnosed with alopecia totalis at age 13. I have been wearing a hair piece since 8th grade. I joined alopecia world to find advice on removing my hair piece and starting a new life.
