I have always had "good hair". You know thick, long and not processed. I didn't dye my hair nor hardly even blow dry it. When this first happened I didn't think it was fair that my hair would desert me when I had taken such good care of it.
I am 31 years old, married, a mother of two and have recently been diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. Last month I found a large bald patch towards the back of my head....then while waiting to be seen by the dermatologist another one developed near the front of my hair. These were easily hidden by the way I wore my hair. Last night I have found 5 new small patches. Eek! I am trying to be optimistic about this journey but its not always easily done.
