- I have had alopecia universalis for 47 years. I have never had a hint of regrowth. I gave up wearing wigs about 5 years ago and wear temporary tattoos on my head, might as well have fun with it. My first husband dies in 2004 and I met my soul mate on a cruise and moved to the US from Canada to be with him.
