- I had healthy, long, blonde hair (waist length) that I was "known" for all my life--then came cancer. After 10 weeks of radiation and major, major surgery, I proceeded to lose about 70% of my hair from Telogen Effluvium. One year later, I had emergency surgery for abdominal adhesions from the first surgery, and of course, shed again. I've now lost 90% of my long, blonde hair, and what's left is darker, frizzy, etc. Trying to recover while dealing with this is MORE than I can handle alone. I feel like a freak and don't know what to do...
