I'm a married woman working in the healthcare field as Human Resources and Office Manager. I have had Alopecia Areata for nearly 16 years but I will never get used to it. Just in the last three months I have lost only my right eyebrow. That was nearly as devastating as my head being bald. I just recently created a blog to talk about my feelings just to help me cope and maybe inspire others who are suffering from the disease.

Thanks for the compliment on my hair, just got it in February - love it, too. It took me 6 yrs to find this fabulous wig and I wouldn't trade it for the world. So you have AA. I went rapidly for AA to AU - crazy. But living well with it now that I have all these friends here and alopeciaworld. I would love to get together with folks face to face that have alopecia. Where do you live?. I did meet a few gals from here in NYC, that was fund. talk to you soon.

I'm sorry about your eyebrow. Both of mine are gone, and my eyelashes, too. I miss those the most. I've had this for about 30 years. Let me know if I can help.
