I have a beautiful family which includes a loving husband three beautiful children, and three cuddly dogs. I joined this website to share my story. I have had alopecia totalis since 15 mo of age. I really don't know any thing different. I do feel sad for people who had hair and lost it later in adolescence or adulthood. I would not change my baldness for anything in the world. I can wear cute wigs and change up my style. Or not wear anything at all and that's fine too. The only time I have EVER felt like I wanted hair was my wedding day. But hey, I didn't and I still got married and nobody even have it a thought. I would just tell anyone going thru alopecia in whatever way it may be my grandmas advice to me as a young child. "You are beautiful! If ANYONE has a problem with you not having hair, it is their problem. Do not make it yours!" Simple words with a lot of meaning that stuck with me.
