I first found out i had alopecia areata at 21, senior year of college. I could essentially hide it except when had to play basketball. after trying several treatments, i found one that worked. my hair grew back and everything seemed normal. I am currently in my second episode and it is rapidly becoming much worse than the first. I am not responding to the same treatment that worked last time :( I am now 23 and a first year medical student. I am mostly worried because i am beginning to not be able to cover it anymore and it has affected my eyebrows and eyelashes. basically stressed with school and then this. hope joining here boosts my morale.
