I first experienced alopecia when aged 13 and after being run over. I was left with a patch no bigger than a 10p piece which has never filled in. It then started again after a car crash when I was 27. I lost about 30% of the hair on my head, most of the hairs on my legs (never grown back), 1/2 of each eyebrow (grew back), 1/2 of my pubic hair (grown back) and some body hair. I tried to cope by using lots of hairspray (lol) and tried lots of different cures. The only one which worked was steroids but, as soon as I stopped taking them, hair fell out again!
