- Hi, my name is Maire! I've had varying forms of Alopecia since I was a child, however, it was after my son was born that it became much worse. It is hereditary in my family. Although I still have my moments (don't ask about wig mishaps, lol) I've chosen to remain positive! I have a very loving & supportive husband & children & friends.
I love to change my wigs according to my moods + I have a great selection of hats & scarves. I am also a photographer, I love doing makeovers or using my camera & artistry to show the beauty of women undergoing Chemo or who have Alopecia.
I have had the privilege of acting as a consultant to those need assistance choosing hairpieces, whether it be because of Alopecia or Chemo, or just for fun. I am the Wig Queen!!
I'm hoping to network with others who have Alopecia (I've always been a kind of deal with it myself person) & maybe organizing an Alopecia support group in S. NJ.
