- My work background is in mental health. I love photography, animals and the great outdoors. My dream would be to have some land with animals likes goats, donkeys, and chickens for people to come and spend time with therapeutically.
My hair loss journey has spanned around 20 years. It has manifested as diffuse and progressive over my head hair including lashes and brows. For me, lashes have been the hardest to cope with. In hindsight I haven't coped so well with it and spent much of the twenty years alternating between periods of stress, anxiety and low mood, to periods of suppression and denial...always with the hope it would stop or improve. The alopecia has advanced to an extreme level of late and I am finding it a challenge to adjust but I also know it is time to work on radical acceptance and deal with all the years and layers of emotional and psychological experiences that have been suppressed relating to the alopecia.
