- I’m Nathalien, 23 years old and I’m from the Netherlands. I have Alopecia since I was 16 years old. The entire base of my head was bald, also of the rest of my head i had some spots. From 2008 to 2011 i'm treated. With result. My hair grew back. For three years I had no problems. Until this year (2014) in March. Above my right ear arose a spot that get bigger with the week. Again I am under treatment in hospital. So far without result.
It's every day a great struggle to live with alopecia. I'm glad to see that i'm not the only one. Because in my environment i do not know anyone else who have it. On the other hand i have fear when i see pictures where people are bald. I realize that i can be that too. (how beautiful you are ;) ) I hope one day i can say ; ''Alopecia belongs with me and it do no longer dominates my life''.
