- Hello. I’m very new to this, but not new to alopecia. I’ve never considered joining a support group until someone sent the info to this page. I struggle with alopecia, a lot. I haven’t learned to embrace it, and believe me, when it’s +35 outside and I’m sweating under my wig in total agony, on the verge of tears, I wish I could just rock my bald. Pull off my wig and let the cool air hit it and let it breathe! Wow, the beautiful way that feels when I finally get to do that, in the privacy of my own home. Maybe with this support group, I’ll get out of my uncomfortable hiding place and finally have the courage to do that.
