I just found out my beautiful 21-month old has alopecia areata. I just want to learn more about living with alopecia and how I can give her the best start in life possible being hair-challenged.
Hi, I stumbled across your page and noticed how absolutely beautiful your children are!!!
My best friend was recently diagnosed with alopecia universales.. she is 20 now, 19 at the time.
She attended her first conference this summer in Houston, and she said that the young children who were there benefit extremely from it!
Your beautiful daughter, although so young, is lucky to have such a dedicated mother such as yourself. She is lucky in a way to be diagnosed at a young age, because she can grow up knowing she is beautiful no matter what. Everyone is different, whether big/small, heavy/thin, and the presence/ absence of hair is only one of those things that make someone the unique and beautiful person they are. Also, know that there will ALWAYS be people around, more than willing to support your daughter!!
Hope you update the site on your progress throughout!
