- I am a newbie to Alopecia. The whole thing started with my beard and it appears to be effecting the whole face and scalp. I used to sport a beard, and a big chunk of that has gone with the Autumn leaves! I can't understand what has triggered this and it is frustrating that so little is known about this condition and there is no real treatment out there.
