- I am a African American woman age 45 I have alopecia I believe to be irreversible. I have been living with alopecia unknowingly all my life I just found out about 2 to 3 years ago that I have alopecia and since then I lost 100% of my hair and I must say I feel more confident about myself with alopecia then I have felt without it I also model with my bald head now and I find it tubing very encouraging inspiring and uplifting for others I will continue to live my life without hair comfortably
