- Hi, ive had alopecia for the past 3-4 years. It started in my beard, moved to the back of my head and has progressively got worse. It is now on my eyebrows which im finding a little hard to deal with. It does fluctuate and move around alot. It affected my confidence alot initially but i feel i am coming to terms with it better now.
I find it hard to talk to people about the condition and just try to laugh it off. I used to wear hats all the time to hide the spots of hair loss on my head but have recently decided not to cover it up as much, i actually feel better doing this...why should i hide?
Ive tried everything from steroids to chinese remedies but nothing has worked so far. I think i have come to terms with having no hair on my head but as i said im finding it difficult to come to terms with losing my eyebrows.
I guess im here to meet other people with alopecia and share my experiences and make new friends.
