- My granddaughter has just found out she has alopecia and is losing her hair. I have never heard of this before now, the Dr has her on prednizone and cream. She is only 9 years old and I don't think she is letting her feelings be known, right now a lot of hiding her head is going on. Any information is appreciated, maybe even meeting other alopecia girls would be helpful.
