- I am recently diagnosed with AA. It started with a round patch a month ago and now I only have 1/4 of my natural hair left. I am a licensed cosmetologist and left work because of pain. The doctor is also suspecting Lupus, but not confirmed. I feel like shaving my remaining hair off, but then I wouldnt have anything to attatch the hairpeice I made to. I can not afford a wig to cover it. I have been wearing a hoodie and ballcap to hide it. I do not like going out in public, afraid people will stare.
