- Im a college student in the Bay Area suffering from Alopecia Areata. I am currently majoring in Child Development and Special Education. My dream is to become a special education teacher and help the disabled children. I would love to talk or potentially meet people who understand what i am going through. I have suffered from it since i was 10 and i am 20 now. Having this condition for ten years has been very difficult. For the past two years my hair has increasingly fallen out. I am afraid that i am going to lose all of my hair by the end of this year. I just want to feel like every other girl with no worries about their bald spots showing. I have confidence issues because of this. I am trying to cope with it as best as i can but sometimes it is very hard to deal with. I havent met anyone with Alopecia or talked to anyone who has it so i look forward to doing so.
