- Progressive development of alopecia from areata, to totalis to universalis over the past 10 years. Various treatment approaches, mostly autoimmune inhibiting (localized and systemic in nature). Have undergone injection treatments and oral treatment programs, including prednisone and currently cyclosporine. Spent a little less than a year as a patient of a metabolic clinic attempting to remedy the symptoms of my alocpecia through gluten-free dieting. Growing more comfortable with the bald look though I miss my red hair!
