How are you today? I have AU, too.

Hi Sally
Gee it sounds like you have had a huge amount of stressful situations to deal with, it must have really blown your immune system out of the water to have resulted in AU. I'm not sure how your body reacts to confrontations but I know how mine does, so with that knowledge then one has to learn how to either avoid it or when it does happen, learn to not let it affect us. The latter is much harder for me, so now I simply avoid the people I know who might potentially cause me trouble, it has basically meant that I have become rather reclusive, which I don't mind, as I am close to retirement age anyway. Of course, we don't have control over other people and attacks can come out of the woodwork when we don't expect it, but now I practise staying very calm and let it be like 'water off a duck's back'. I no longer react to people, i calmly speak my mind and if they get aggressive, I WALK AWAY. This has helped me a lot, I hope it helps you, also I think one has to look at the bigger picture, it is not cancer, it is cosmetic and truly believe that your hair will grow back after your body's immune system is back on track. Anyway Sally, lovely chatting to you, I wish I lived in Canada and then I could catch up for a coffee too! Unfortunately, I live in Albury, Australia so probably a tad too far away to do that ha ha....
Ok chat soon hopefully.
Yours in health & happiness, Deb
